All the ammenities needed for short or long stays are provided for you! If you are looking to have a movie marathon...this is the place for you...the sweet ol' TV and VCR work great..and are tucked away in the living room...next to the wood burning stove! Enjoy!
The fully equiped kitchen is large and great for cooking with a gas cooktop and lots of counter space. Lots of windows frame you, your family and friends while preparing, cooking and dining together.
The dining table seats six and there is a sweet little bar..just large enough for breakfast for two...or to "supervise" the chef with a glass of wine! The mornings will call to you..with a cup of hot coffee in hand...to sit on the large porch or on the "window to the forest" deck.
A small barbecue is there for your use to grill up some salmon "caught" at the local grocery...Town and Country...where you can find all kinds of goodies!
This sanctuary gives the guests 5 acres of pristine forest to enjoy for romantic strolls, romps through the leaves, quiet meditation...or just a retreat from the busy world! Imagine...walking through your own private forest..little wooden bridges...over a multitude of streams..birds calling and whistling..sounds we hardly hear in the city! Wildlife will welcome you and ask you to experience a different slice of life!
There are also 2 Spotted Owls out on the property, and we think they live in the owl snag in the back of the house.
" We heard their calls every night, so we did some research online and the recordings for the spotted owl matched what we were hearing every night almost exactly. We saw them clearly at 11 AM about 20 yards away with the kids, it was very cool. There are also Barred Owls, but didn't hear them every night."

If you feel like exploring...downtown Winslow is just minutes away..where you will find the hometown feel of great little shops and delicious food at the many fabulous restaurants, cafes, BBQs, diners, bakeries, and coffee houses. (Don't we love to eat here in the Northwest!?)
Downtown also has the Bainbridge/Seattle Ferry...where you can drive or walk on....and 35 minutes later you are in downtown Seattle! Enjoy Pike Market, the many, many fabulous restaurants, museums and original shops. Make sure you stay over on a Saturday...where you can visit the local Farmer's Market and buy all locally made or grown items from Bainbridge: check out the purple potatoes, the fresh and green lettuce greens, the long green beans, the tomatoes that make you think of sunshine, the homemade goat cheese...with yummy samples, the local handiwork of artisans, or just have lunch while people watching..and checking out the locals!
